.x. .x. Rachel Jane Stryker Madness is a Nuisance, and No One is Immune Your Sister, Mum or Daughter may Become a Raving Loon
Rachel had never seen a real vampire fight. Not in all her twenty-five years, not even with the Volturi. She'd been in fights, yet she'd never actually seen two vampires going at it right in front of her and much less had she seen her father pinning to the ground another vampire. The girl seemed frozen in wonderment, just staring at the vampire, wondering how this had started. She saw the hand against the throat, and knew she was closer to seeing death than she'd quite possibly ever been before. But still, she heard the vampire address her father, and the words were something she couldn't quite understand. Another one... There were other hybrids, yes, but... What on earth was he talking about? And then came the word sister. Rachel was silent, but the confusion and vulnerability was obvious in her body and face.
And then he moved, looking to her. He called her beautiful... Rachel took a step back. Any moment now this would all be over. Everything would be over. She'd not even heard Michael telling her to go.
"Don't hurt him..." she mumbled, blinking. She couldn't let him kill Roland. She couldn't let that happen. "Dad... Don't."
His red eyes... Rachel stared blankly at them. A strange fascination was evident. There was something he could tell her that she didn't know already, and she wanted to find out just what that was. Those were the eyes that told her she should run, that scared the hell out of her, but also pulled her into some dark, unhealthy interest.

.x. .x. Michael Robert Stryker So Darken Your Clothes or Strike a Violent Pose; Maybe They'll Leave you Alone, but Not Me...
This was going to ruin everything... He should have torn the kid to pieces by now. He should have stopped this from happening once and for all. Nova was a subject that had been too hard to even remember, so much more to talk about. Rachel didn't know, and the older she got the harder it had been to let her find out. Things had just been easier with her not knowing. And now in the space of minutes some good-for-nothing pet of Gloria's had ruined everything for him. Michael threw his other hand against Roland's neck, aiming to end him there and then, until he heard Rachel intervene. He didn't know why, but it stopped him. It kept him from ripping Roland in two, and the vampire's head turned to his daughter. His attention was distracted and his grip loosened; he'd been utterly and completely taken by surprise, to the point where he didn't know what to do. His mind was divided between doing what he knew he should, what he'd done many times over in his years, and what Rachel had told him to do.
But Michael allowed his grip to loosen around Roland's neck, keeping his knee in place out of a subconscious habit. Rachel wasn't looking at him. At Roland, instead. He frowned. But Rachel had never, to his knowledge, dealt with death before and it made sense that she would be scared. He should be killing Roland right now. If she got hurt because of his inaction, Michael would never forgive himself.

It was probably not the best idea to be such a smart ass when he was being pinned down by his neck. But it was just to hard not to be. That was just the way Ro was, he'd always been a dumb ass, and dint thing that would change. At least not any time soon. That had been the reason that blond bitch had managed to get a nibble out of him, not that he minded when it was happening.
When he heard the girl, Rachael he though, ask her father not to kill him he smiled ah her flirtatiously. "Dose the old man have a hard time keeping his hands of any hot guys babe? I would not mind if it where you on hear, but your dad not so much." He said, giving her his suggestive smile. He could not help it she was gorgeous and he wanted her all for himself. When the hand left his neck he turned back to face the older vampire. "Thanks mate. Think you can now get your knee out of me so i can go converse with that angel over there?" he asked, pasting the most innocent look he could on his face.

But that didn't mean Rachel was willing to take this kid's crap. She found it hard to even stand here, with the words he'd said. Sister... Her eyes narrowed at his comment - babe, seriously? - but she showed no movement to, at this point, walk away. She just stared at him on the ground, taking in the strange way that he showed no fear whatsoever.
"Ever had the crap beaten out of you by a chick before?" she snapped, but the guilty look in her father's face told her that was true. She frowned, feeling betrayed all over again, but kept focused on the boy. "And did you like it?"
She wanted to know about this sister of hers... And clearly her father wasn't going to tell her, if he'd been keeping it a secret all these years. How much could she really trust him for? As he requested to be let up Rachel felt her heartrate spike a little. She didn't know what to do. And she felt like she didn't know what her father would do either. She used to know... Three years ago, this idiot would be dead already. She stared at Roland.
"Let him up," the girl spoke suddenly. She felt like she was dreaming, and thus decided she was. And if she was dreaming, she'd wake up just as something truly bad was about to happen. If she wasn't, well... She didn't really know what'd happen. Rachel stepped closer to the vampire, curious as to his strength. By smell she knew he'd recently fed, but a vampire with red eyes always tended to have more of a problem than one with yellow... Right?

.x. .x. Michael Robert Stryker So Darken Your Clothes or Strike a Violent Pose; Maybe They'll Leave you Alone, but Not Me...
He was losing his little girl. Michael had only just gotten her back, and now he was losing her all over again. It was harder, this time: she was here in front of him. Now she knew about Nova... But Rachel was a grown woman now, and not really his little girl anymore. He couldn't keep protecting her. Her whole life she'd been under his little banner of safety; she'd never so much as met a vampire before she'd gone off on her own. Perhaps it was time to let go? He stared at Roland for a moment before carefully pulling his knee away. The kid had been a dumbass eighty years ago, but... Hopefully, just maybe, his bloodlust was a little more under control. If not, there was no way he'd get close to Rachel without dying.
He straightened up and ignored the massive rips through his jeans, which at this point were barely covering his lower legs. Michael was a mess. He kept a good eye on the boy, watching as his own daughter stared at him; why was she so interested? He'd once said he felt sorry for whoever might date her, but he hadn't suspected she'd be eying off a vampire...
"Keep your teeth to yourself," he muttered, taking in the scent of animal blood and also of Rachel's blood. Yes, he had to worry... But what kind of father would he be if he didn't?

Putting his arms behind his head and mulled over her question like he had all the time in the world. "Well your sister floored me. I minded it a little but she was pretty hot, and i don't mind a girl on top so it was ok." He said, giving her a flirty smile. He could not help it, she was very attractive. When she hold her father to let him up he had to fight back the urge to blow her a kiss or gyrate his hips at her. The one thing he really had not minded about being a vampire was the fact that he got to keep his body how it was and it was in its prime.
When the older vampire got off him he smiled and jumped up. Dusting his shirt off he muttered to himself. Lookup up at Michael he snorted. "Look you got dirt all over my mice shirt, and its my favorite one." Turing to face Rachael he leaned against a tree with his armed crossed over his chest and his legs crossed at the ankles. Hearing his warning words he looked back at the older male. "Aww daddy do I gotta, what if she wants some?" He said with an innocent look on his face and licked his teeth then smiling at Rachael.

.x. .x. Michael Robert Stryker So Darken Your Clothes or Strike a Violent Pose; Maybe They'll Leave you Alone, but Not Me...
Michael narrowed his eyes at the stupid comment, trying to give an impression of just how pissed off he was at this 'Roland' idiot. Perhaps Gloria would do him the odd favour of finishing Roland off, so Michael wouldn't have to; she'd just be finishing what she started, given they were both already dead anyway. But Michael knew whatever he did Roland would want to have the last say, and if this went any further one of them would end up dead. Either it'd be him, or Rachel would hate him for killing Roland right in front of her. He wasn't after either option, and so he glared at Roland a moment more before turning and running from the scene. Normally Michael would be taking care to leave no obvious traces, like a large print of his converse in the dirt, but he wanted it to be only too obvious to the both of them that he was still around here and that if Roland stepped so much as one foot out of line he'd kill the kid.

.x. .x. Rachel Jane Stryker Madness is a Nuisance, and No One is Immune Your Sister, Mum or Daughter may Become a Raving Loon
Rachel raised her eyebrow at the comment, hardly sure whether to laugh or smack him in the face. Both, really. She liked his sort, honest enough about their motives and not afraid to mention what they were thinking. Not to mention he was completely baiting her father. Finally she cracked a smile, her blue eyes focused on him.
"Well today's not your lucky day."
But this about her sister... It made her wonder how much more Roland knew than even she did. Rachel had never felt more betrayed. She hid it well. She didn't like showing it when she was too vulnerable. Anyone could take advantage of it...
Keep your teeth to yourself.
Rachel scoffed. Did he really think she couldn't take care of herself? If Roland tried anything she could easily disable him; even vampires had very big weaknesses and now she had a real kind of training. Though Rachel knew she wouldn't need to - she trusted Roland, for some weird and stupid reason, and she didn't really want to have to kick his ass.
Besides, even if she did, he'd enjoy it anyway.
Her father ran off and Rachel was glad, even though she knew how easy it was for him to hide the tracks he was making.
"Do you have a deathwish or something?" she burst out as soon as she was certain her father was out of earshot. There was amusement in her voice. "He's gonna kill you if you keep this crap up, you know..."
