Five years after the events of Breaking Dawn the Cullen family leave to live in Alaska after the humans begin to suspect the perpetually young family. What the Cullens don't realise is that the Volturi still covet the amazing gifts of Edward and his sister Alice.
To gain their prizes, the Volturi capture Bella and Renesmee from their new home. To keep Bella in their grasp, they threaten to bite Renesmee, almost surely killing her.
Edward knows he must save his beloved wife and daughter, but by doing so he is almost certainly killing Renesmee and Bella. So he make a decision which will change the Cullens forever.
He becomes part of the Volturi.
Bella becomes a pawn in the twisted game the Volturi have concocted to destroy her family. She is forced to starve, and is offered only humans to feed off.
Renesmee is constantly under the influence of Chelsea, her "protector". She is made to believe that her family are against her, that their "high morals" were only a ploy to keep her away from where she truly belongs, with the Volturi.
